Manufacturing Engineer

The Manufacturing Engineer will position provides manufacturing test development support for new product manufacturing test systems. The individual will strategize, develop, design and implement test processes for electro-mechanical modules and system level testing of new products to be used in the production area. The individual will work with product development teams to concurrently evaluate and create new or update existing designs for the manufacturability, reliability, and testability of new products based on Renal Solutions, Inc manufacturing requirements and guidelines. Emphasis will be on test engineering knowledge and technical background, electro-mechanical and test techniques.
- Develop, implement, and integrate economically sound manufacturing assembly, test, and production flow processes for each program deliverable.
- Participate on detailed design teams during a concurrent design-development process.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a concurrent engineering environment with focus on cross-functional collaboration and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of National Instrument Lab View, IEEE-488 data acquisition equipment, and a working knowledge of C/C++ programming are a plus.
- Working experience in the field of medical equipment and electro-mechanical equipment is preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to setup, debug, and operate mechanical and/or electrical test equipment (multi-meter, pressure, force, flow transducer, etc) is preferred.
- Ensures activities stay within compliance of regulatory requirements as established by the QA / Regulatory function.
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
- Three to 5 years overall experience with some exposure to the production environment. Experience transferring New Products to manufacturing is a plus.
- Overall electronic experience including analog, digital, and embedded microprocessor design and troubleshooting knowledge. Experience with hardware device interfaces such as analog and digital I/O boards, controllers, and servos are a plus.
- Experience developing test plans for electro-mechanical devices.
- Experience with the IQ, OQ, PQ process.
- Proven continuous innovation and improvement with ability to use and interpret metrics.
- Communications skills, such as, verbal, written, persuasion and consensus building
- Capable of lifting 50Lbs.
